Anadrol
is a verified mass builder but its effectiveness comes with a catch –
you can experience both reversible and irreversible
side effects because
of the potency of this steroid.
Water retention. One of the most common
side effects of Anadrol
is water retention, which can result to soft-looking
physique. This is generally the concern when potent
anabolic-androgenic steroids
are used. The chemical makeup of
Anadrol
does not allow it to convert to estrogen but this steroid can directly
act on the estrogen receptors. This side effect, however, is reversible
– it goes away once
Anadrol
intake is discontinued.
Gynecomastia.
Another potential
Anadrol
side effect is gynecomastia. Gyno is characterized by
enlargement of the breast or tenderness/pain in the nipples that may be
caused by several factors, including steroid use. This side
effect can be addressed by surgery or non-surgical alternatives such as
intake of male breast reduction pills.
Liver Toxicity.
Anadrol’s
side effect on the liver is perhaps the major drawback of
this drug.
Anadrol
is a c-17 alpha-alkylated compound, a chemical alteration that improves
its oral bioavailability but increases its toxicity on the liver.
Peliosis hepatic can occur, which is a rare vascular disease of the
liver characterized by the presence of blood-filled cysts or cavities.
This side effect can stay asymptomatic – you would not know you have it
until more serious complications arise, such as liver failure and
intra-abdominal hemorrhage. Discontinuance of intake can
reverse this condition. Liver cell tumors can also occur with
Anadrol use. These
tumors are described as benign and androgen-dependent, which means that
they can disappear once
Anadrol
use is ceased. There are reports, however, that malignant
tumors can develop with long term use of
steroids.
To avoid
Anadrol side
effects, it is advised that you follow recommended dosage
(50mg-100mg/day) and cycle duration (maximum of 6 weeks).
