The most dangerous of these types of steroids is the Testosterone, brand names Testovis and Virormone. It shrinks the testicles and enlarges the prostate. Abuse of this drug can cause harmful psychiatric effects, such as psychosis. These different types of steroids come in forms of pills or injectables.

The negative publicity for these steroids have caused it to be considered illegal in the US and other countries. This does not prevent suppliers from selling them or athletes from using them.
