This guy sold animal steroids locally…

I’m assuming what they mean is that he sold things like Finaplex (trenbolone) , Equipoise (EQ) and maybe anadrol ?

who really knows, the witch hunt for steroid users is out…and it’s bad!

Alameda County investigators believe a Discovery Bay man illegally sold animal steroids disguised as illegal human steroids to people at Tri-Valley fitness clubs.
After arresting 50-year-old Larry Brady in Pleasanton on a warrant May 17, Alameda County Sheriff’s Office investigators searched his car and found a large amount of pharmaceutical tablets, suspected human steroids purchased from India, China and Mexico, and a large amount of what they believe are liquid animal steroids.

“We have concerns he had the means and ability to transfer the animal steroids to packaging that is consistent to human-use steroids,” sheriff’s spokesman J.D. Nelson said.

Nelson said the sheriff’s department held off on announcing the arrest because officials wanted the Alameda— to unsuspecting customers.

“They don’t know that for sure,” Nelson said.

Nelson said Brady frequented fitness clubs in Dublin, San Ramon, Livermore and Contra Costa County, and is known, from his prior criminal history, to be involved in steroids.

Brady was arrested on a warrant for evading police in Alameda County. He was in custody at Santa Rita jail in Dublin on a no-bail parole-hold.

Nelson said the sheriff’s department held off on announcing the arrest because officials wanted the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office to file charges first.

As of Wednesday, Brady was charged with possession of narcotics, but not possession of steroids. Nelson said the liquids and other compounds have to be tested to make sure they are steroids before any additional charges can be filed.

According to the sheriff’s office, Brady may have sold the animal steroids as human steroids — which are also illegal — to unsuspecting customers.

Woman On Steroids Warns Of Side Effects – no shit women should NOT abuse steroids

Women should NOT use steroids, women that do use steroids are ABUSING STEROIDS !!!!

More and more women are abusing steroids to get fit and the results can be dangerous and disturbing to see.

One woman told her story to Baltimore TV station WBAL — and said it’s too late for her to stop.

Peggy, who didn’t want WBAL to broadcast her real name, said she is addicted to anabolic steroids, which are synthetic male hormones.

Peggy said as a young woman she was a marathon runner battling an eating disorder. She wanted toned muscles, not fat, and a six-week trial of oral steroids turned into a life obsession.

“It’s that insecurity that I think all teens and young women have — that they’re not good enough. And I thought the steroids would make me good enough. But they took 25 years of my life,” she said.

What did she see when she looked in the mirror?

“You totally lose sight of who you are. I walked into a locker room — a woman’s dressing room — and someone said I was in the wrong locker room,” she said.

Peggy asked that WBAL not give away her identity because she is a licensed medical professional who could lose her job.

Since she began using steroids, Peggy said she has spent thousands of dollars on plastic surgery to correct an enlarged Adam’s apple and man-sized bones in her face — the result of abusing the growth hormones.

Peggy’s hands are bigger than the average woman’s. And even though the steroids made her stronger as she competed as a bodybuilder, her frame is giving out.

She has three bulging lumbar discs and ruptured tendons in her biceps. She said she is in constant pain.

“I got incredibly strong, but these are not side effects young women would want. Plus, the voice — my voice lowered by three octaves,” she said.

“(Female steroid abusers) get their desired effect physically, but it ain’t no free lunch. They have to pay the price,” said Dr. Bill Howard, the founder of Union Memorial’s Sports Medicine Center.

Over the years, Howard said he has seen anabolic steroids become an equal opportunity drug.

“It starts with relatively young women — high school and college age in their 20s and 30s,” he said. “It helps them to lose weight because muscle has a higher metabolic rate than fat, so the more fat you burn, the better you look.”

But the better you look, the sicker you can get, health officials said. Besides the visible side effects, women who abuse steroids also have an increased risk of heart and artery disease.

Howard said there’s another undesirable side effect.

“They’re just not very attractive. They’re very nice people, but they don’t look the way they should look at the age they ought to be,” Howard said.

A former Mr. Maryland, who anonymously spoke with WBAL, said he injected steroids for 12 years and saw women buying them illegally right alongside him. He said they’re very easy to get.

The day before WBAL interviewed Peggy, she said she had injected the popular underground steroid Masteron.

“It’s very insidious how you go on and on, and before you know it, you take more powerful drugs and the side effects are not what you want,” she said.

Did she want to look more feminine?

“I have gotten use to this neutral position — not quite a woman, but not quite a man, either,” she said.

There are both emotional and physical components of steroid addiction, health officials said. One of the most dangerous symptoms of withdrawal is depression.

Steroids keep Stallone healthy: dad say it all about Stallone and steroids

Posted By

so he says steroids were to keep S. Stallone in good health and better recovered, I don’t see why not? he’s almost damn 60 years old.  These are LEGAL prescriptions for steroids and human growth hormone, now leave the guy alone already.

Steroids keep Stallone healthy: dad
Sylvester Stallone’s dad has come out fighting in the Rocky star’s defence — claiming he was using prescription steroids to recover from physical “strain and work.”

“I mean, the guy is 60 years old,” Frank Stallone, 87, said. “There are a lot of aches and pains when you get to that age.”

Sly will be sentenced next week after pleading guilty to importing the banned muscle-building hormone Jintropin into Australia.

The hormones were found when his bags were searched as he flew into Sydney to hawk his latest Rocky sequel.

In addition to promoting muscle growth, Jintropin is believed to help slow down the aging process.

Stallone Snr, who lives in Florida, added: “My son exercises a lot, and he found this stuff keeps him healthy. I wouldn’t know, since I’ve never used any. But he has prescriptions for it. He didn’t know he couldn’t bring it to Australia.

“Of course, since he is a celebrity, they’re going to lay it on him.” He said his son was suffering from the strain of working on the set of Rambo 4 in Thailand.

Stallone faces a maximum fine of $22,000 in court.

Prosecution documents said Stallone had marked “no” on a customs declaration form that asked if he was bringing restricted substances into the country.

But an X-ray of bags belonging to his entourage uncovered the bottles of Jintropin, which is made by Chinese firm GeneScience pharmaceuticals.

“You have not been validly prescribed the goods by a medical practitioner for any medical condition suffered by you and for which the goods are recognised medical treatment,” Stallone was told in a customs document submitted to the court.

The vital ingredient in Jintropin is somatropin, which is advertised as reducing body fat, boosting muscle mass, improving sexual prowess and regenerating major organs.

Man charged after Customs seize steroids – australia customs and steroids

Posted By

rule of the day…

don’t bring steroids into australia

who in their right mind lugs a ton of steroids into Australia after knowing how bad the customs is?
ok I know you want to run a cycle? but why not use hard to spot steroids like advanced stealth ? why not have it shipped to you instead of lugging steroids on yourself and getting caught? where is the logic? they look for HGH human growth hormone and any other drugs, of course they do!!!!

Man charged after Customs seize steroids
A man has been charged with trying to import a large amount of steroids and human growth hormones into Australia after a Customs search at Brisbane International Airport.

The man’s luggage was searched on Friday night after he arrived on a flight from New Zealand.

It is alleged Customs officers found about 30 vials of steroids, 20 vials of human growth hormone and about 100 tablets that are yet to be formally identified.

The 28-year-old appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday charged with importing a prohibited import.

He was granted conditional bail and is due to face court again early next month.

The maximum penalty for importing performance and image enhancing drugs is a $110,000 fine and, or, five years in prison.

Customs say they are still investigating the matter.

ianabolicsteroids.com: Newly Launched Site Provides Most Recent Information and Usage About Anabolic Steroids

Anabolic steroids (http://www.ianabolicsteroids.com) are natural and synthetic drugs that model naturally produced testosterone. Anabolic steroids are often used because they promote cell growth, which helps the growth of tissues (particularly muscle). Anabolic steroids are also sometimes called as anabolic androgenic steroids.

May 10, 2007 — ianabolicsteroids.com, a newly launched site, provides the most recent information and usage about anabolic steroids.

Anabolic steroids are used in the process of building muscle and other body mass including bone and other tissues. Though anabolic steroids have side effects, they do have many positive effects as well. Specific medical uses of anabolic steroids include bone marrow stimulation, growth stimulation, treatment for chronic wasting, induction of puberty in males and hormone replacement therapy.

Anabolic steroids ( http://www.ianabolicsteroids.com/anabolic-steroids.htm) are used by athletes and teens. Athletes and teens use anabolic steroids as they are involved in sports and as they are referred to the “competitive edge”. Anabolic steroids are also used by non-athletes who want improve their appearance and strength in general.

Anabolic steroids are classified into different types and each one of them have their own combination of anabolic and anabolic properties to make them unique and which are better suited for different results.

An interesting fact about anabolic steroids is that their users are often known to educate themselves about each specific anabolic steroid before using it more so than any other type of drug use.

Most of the time, anabolic steroids are in the news due to their use and abuse by athletes (http://www.ianabolicsteroids.com/steroids-in-sports.htm). Athletes often refer to the “competitive edge” as a reason to use anabolic steroids — including teens who are involved in sports. Other people who use anabolic steroids are non-athletes that want to improve their appearance and strength in general. Buying Steroids Online
http://www.ianabolicsteroids.com/buy-anabolic-steroids.htm
Because they are illegal in the United States, it can be difficult to buy anabolic steroids. The only legal way to buy anabolic steroids is with a valid prescription, but people do find other ways to buy anabolic steroids. Generally, this means that people look for sources on the Internet to help them buy anabolic steroids. It can be dangerous to buy anabolic steroids, howeverBecause of the laws surrounding steroids, it is illegal to buy anabolic steroids in the United States. This means that Americans cannot even legally buy anabolic steroids from a country where they are legal and have them shipped to them.

Steroids in Canada ???

Posted By

So canada has a steroid problem too? now it’s not only the USA suffering from “steroid problems” , people are buying steroids EVERYWHERE! I don’t get why the federal government not just legalize steroids and tax them.  Easier for everyone, then they can concentrate resources on getting meth and crack/coke/heroin off the streets not steroids!  Get the real drugs.  Don’t go for steroids you goofballs!!!
Canada has a steroid problem,as they call it, because of ignorance nothing more.  Steroids are no more a drug then whey protein!

There’s been a steroid explosion in B.C. Last year, authorities seized more than six times the number of illegal steroids that were smuggled into the province in 2005.

Despite the well-publicized menace of these drugs and the significant resources being dedicated to ensure a drug-free 2010 Olympics, there appears to be no slowdown in the number of people using them.

“If there’s that much interest in bringing drugs across the border, there’s a market. I don’t think it’s very difficult, when I talk to kids, to find steroids anywhere in the city, or anywhere (in B.C.),” said Lynda Cannell, chief executive officer for SportMedBC.
****In 2006, a little more than 795,000 doses and more than 50,700 grams of steroids were seized by Canada Border Services Agency — an increase of more than 600 per cent from 2005 when 118,225 doses and 20,321 grams of steroids were seized.

Although the Canada Border Services Agency is reluctant to explain what’s behind the massive spike, spokeswoman Faith St. John acknowledged much of the increase could be attributed to large shipments intercepted in the mail.

She wouldn’t comment if they were steroids ordered over the Internet.

But Cannell added: “If you go on and Google steroids, you’ll find site after site.”

On B.C.-based message forums, anonymous suppliers assure buyers that Canadian customs rarely intercept shipments.

One dealer posted saying orders that didn’t arrive could be sent again. “Since it happens so rarely, we can afford to send another shipment on our expense.”

Last year, Health Canada issued a warning not to consume or purchase five anabolic steroid products: Anabolic Xtreme Superdrol, Methyl-1-P, Ergomax LMG, Prostanozoland and FiniGenX Magnum Liquid.

In Canada, steroids are a controlled substance that can legally be used to treat specific medical conditions. But anabolic steroids — the type most commonly found on the black market — have few legitimate uses. They’re used mainly for beefing up physical size and strength.

In more recent years, steroids have been blamed for the phenomenon of “reverse anorexia,” in which users take the drug just to look better.

Health Canada estimates 83,000 Canadians, mostly young men between the ages of 11 and 18, are using steroids.

Last month, the World Anti-Doping Agency called on sport organizations to share information with police about drug dealers and manufacturers in order to stop the problem at its source.

Sgt. Scott Rintoul with the RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime Awareness Service says he’d welcome the move, even though steroids are often seen as less of a public threat compared to heroin or cocaine and fewer policing resources are put towards cracking down on it.

AT A GLANCE

HEALTH IMPACT

- Steroids are hormones that come in several different forms.

- While some types are used to treat medical conditions, anabolic steroids have few legitimate uses.

- Easily bought on the black market, anabolic steroids can be injected or taken as tablets.

- They build strength by entering muscle cells and accelerating the manufacture of muscle proteins.

- They also have a frightening list of side-effects including: aggression, violent mood swings, paranoia, hair loss, severe acne, infertility, male breast development, impotence, stunted growth, liver tumours and elevated levels of cholesterol.

PENALTIES

- It’s not illegal to possess a small quantity of steroids, but possession for trafficking is illegal.
Printer friendly
Font: ****- If someone is convicted of illegally importing steroids under the Customs Act, the maximum penalty is $500,000 and/or five years in prison.

- The maximum penalty for illegally importing or possessing steroids under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act is three years in prison.

Steroid Inverviews / Another waste of government resources on steroid investigations

Posted By

someone explain to me, why government resources are being wasted on steroid cases? yes, we know athletes use steroids, great – it’s such a surprise (NOT!).   I mean think about it, what’s in it for them? exposure? OR skapegoat the current problems with unemployment, failing economy, bad war in Iraq and no deal with Iran.  So what’s more important, the real issues like unemployment and Iran or steroids ?

think about it, for every $1 spent on this steroid scandal, $1 could be spent on education reform, social security reform, drug benefits reform, fixing Iraq , dealing with Iran and so on…

but NOT, let’s bullshit about steroids , not meth , not coke, not heroin…not weed, but STEROIDS !!! forget the meth problem! just do steroids because we can’t fix the other drug problems!

Mitchell expects player steroid interviews to start promptly

Former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell said he expects interviews with active players to begin promptly as part of his investigation into steroids in baseball.

Mitchell sent a letter to the players’ association in late March requesting the interviews, which the union confirmed April 3. Lawyers for the union, commissioner’s office and Mitchell’s staff met later in April to discuss possible interviews, along with Mitchell’s request for medical records.

“In the course of our work, we have gathered thousands of pages of documents and conducted hundreds of interviews of individuals with current or past connections to professional baseball, including many former players,” Mitchell said Friday in an e-mail to The Associated Press.

“I have just recently requested that interviews of current players begin promptly, which is one of the final phases of our investigation. We expect to meet soon with the players whose interviews we have requested, but to the extent that we are not able to, we will deal with the issue at that time.”

Mitchell also may gain evidence that federal prosecutors have gathered in their case against former New York Mets bat boy Kirk Radomski, The Washington Post reported Friday.
Radomski, who pleaded guilty to felony charges of distributing steroids and laundering money, has agreed to cooperate with the ongoing federal steroids investigation, as well as Mitchell’s inquiry.

The 37-year-old has admitted providing steroids, human growth hormone, amphetamines and other drugs to “dozens of current and former Major League Baseball players and associates,” U.S. Attorney Scott Schools said in a statement.

“Are documents, etcetera, going to be turned over?” Assistant U.S. Attorney Matt Parrella was quoted as saying by the Post. “That’s part of the concept, but I can’t lay out a schedule or roster of documents. We will make an evaluation item by item.”

Mitchell also wouldn’t specify what data he hopes to receive.

“I am committed to completing the remaining work and to issuing the report as soon as possible,” he said in Friday’s e-mail to the AP. “With regard to Mr. Radomski, I have stated that we look forward to working with federal law enforcement toward our shared goal of dealing effectively with illegal performance-enhancing drug use in baseball. Our work in that regard is only one aspect of the broader effort in this investigation.”

Whoa , whoa , British dragon out of business !

Posted By

Well as I predicted, BD aka British Dragon is now out of business – check out their site and message. In case it changes later, I got a print screen for you.

British Dragon has always been a procurement company. However, with an aim toward producing licensed products, we formed a partnership in Eastern Europe to manufacture. Before this was finalised, sub-standard products were being produced which were not to the standard nor tradition of British Dragon.

Thus, no genuine British Dragon products (as under the control of the founders) will be produced after December, 2006.

All our regular distributors as listed on the Suppliers list will have sufficient stock until well into the new year (2007).

British Dragon would like to thank its loyal supporters.

Please re-visit this site for further bulletins.”

steroids bullshit

Posted By

this sounds stupid

why tell these steroids stories??? what’s the benefit, where is the news??

I don’t see the news about NFL/baseball or steroids etc…

“I PLAYED SPORTS AND THOUGH I NEVER WITNESSED SOMEONE USING STEROIDS ON A FIRSTHAND BASIS, I SAW YOUNG STUDENT ATHLETES THAT WOULD HAVE AN EXTRAORDINARY AMOUNT OF MUSCLE MASS IN A VERY SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME… AND OBVIOUSLY THAT SENDS UP RED FLAGS.”

SO, IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH STEROIDS IN ATHLETICS HERE IN THE BAY AREA?  DEPENDS WHO YOU ASK.

Sean Callahan – Armwood Football Head Coach:

“I’VE BEEN DOING THIS NOW FOR 28 YEARS AND I’VE NEVER SEEN ANYBODY INVOLVED IN ANABOLIC STEROIDS AND EVEN THOUGH WE ARE A WHOLE FIVE MINUTES OUTSIDE OF TAMPA, I’VE NEVER HEARD ANYBODY IN TAMPA TELL ME THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM THERE SO I’M NOT REALLY SURE WHERE WE’RE GOING WITH THIS.”

WHETHER THERE IS A STEROID PROBLEM OR NOT, PARENTS OF ATHLETES WILL BE THRUST INTO HAVING AN OPINION.  FOR MIKE ROTHENBERG… WHOES SON JEFFEREY PLAYS MULTIPLE SPORTS AT PLANT HIGH SCHOOL, IT IS A NO BRAINER.

Mike Rothenberg – Parent of Student Athlete

“ITS A GREAT IDEA CAUSE WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN IS KIDS ARE GOING TO BE AWARE THIS IS A MANDATE AND THEY ARE GOING TO THINK TWICE BEFORE DOING SOMETHING LIKE TAKE STEROIDS.”

SO WE KNOW HOW SOME COACHES AND PARENTS FEEL.  HOW ABOUT THE STUDENT ATHLETES?  THE INNOCENCE OF SPORTS IS IMMEDIATELY LOST WHEN YOU HAVE TO TELL AN ATHLETE TO TAKE A DRUG TEST.

Sean Callahan – Armwood Football Head Coach:

“I THINK ITS GOING TO BE TOUGH. I THINK IF YOU PICK ANY ONE OF MY GUYS THEY’RE GOING TO FEEL LIKE SOMEBODY SAID THERE IS A PROBLEM ABOUT THEM… THAT’S THE WAY YOU’RE GOING TO TAKE IT. YOU KNOW, YOU’RE GOING TO SIT DOWN WITH THEM AND TELL THEM THAT’S NOT THE CASE… THEIR NAME WAS RANDOMLY CHOSEN.”

Marcelo Llorente – R-Miami:

“YOUNG STUDENT ATHLETES HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR IF THEY’RE NOT ON STEROIDS. THEY SHOULD WELCOME THIS AS A MEASURE TO PROTECT THEM AND PROTECT THEIR COLLEAGUES.”
