This guy sold animal steroids locally…
I’m assuming what they mean is that he sold things like Finaplex (trenbolone) , Equipoise (EQ) and maybe anadrol ?
who really knows, the witch hunt for steroid users is out…and it’s bad!
Alameda County investigators believe a Discovery Bay man illegally sold animal steroids disguised as illegal human steroids to people at Tri-Valley fitness clubs.
After arresting 50-year-old Larry Brady in Pleasanton on a warrant May 17, Alameda County Sheriff’s Office investigators searched his car and found a large amount of pharmaceutical tablets, suspected human steroids purchased from India, China and Mexico, and a large amount of what they believe are liquid animal steroids.
“We have concerns he had the means and ability to transfer the animal steroids to packaging that is consistent to human-use steroids,” sheriff’s spokesman J.D. Nelson said.
Nelson said the sheriff’s department held off on announcing the arrest because officials wanted the Alameda— to unsuspecting customers.
“They don’t know that for sure,” Nelson said.
Nelson said Brady frequented fitness clubs in Dublin, San Ramon, Livermore and Contra Costa County, and is known, from his prior criminal history, to be involved in steroids.
Brady was arrested on a warrant for evading police in Alameda County. He was in custody at Santa Rita jail in Dublin on a no-bail parole-hold.

Nelson said the sheriff’s department held off on announcing the arrest because officials wanted the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office to file charges first.
As of Wednesday, Brady was charged with possession of narcotics, but not possession of steroids. Nelson said the liquids and other compounds have to be tested to make sure they are steroids before any additional charges can be filed.
According to the sheriff’s office, Brady may have sold the animal steroids as human steroids — which are also illegal — to unsuspecting customers.

More and more women are abusing steroids to get fit and the results can be dangerous and disturbing to see.
One woman told her story to Baltimore TV station WBAL — and said it’s too late for her to stop.
Peggy, who didn’t want WBAL to broadcast her real name, said she is addicted to anabolic steroids, which are synthetic male hormones.
Peggy said as a young woman she was a marathon runner battling an eating disorder. She wanted toned muscles, not fat, and a six-week trial of oral steroids turned into a life obsession.
“It’s that insecurity that I think all teens and young women have — that they’re not good enough. And I thought the steroids would make me good enough. But they took 25 years of my life,” she said.
What did she see when she looked in the mirror?
“You totally lose sight of who you are. I walked into a locker room — a woman’s dressing room — and someone said I was in the wrong locker room,” she said.
Peggy asked that WBAL not give away her identity because she is a licensed medical professional who could lose her job.
Since she began using steroids, Peggy said she has spent thousands of dollars on plastic surgery to correct an enlarged Adam’s apple and man-sized bones in her face — the result of abusing the growth hormones.
Peggy’s hands are bigger than the average woman’s. And even though the steroids made her stronger as she competed as a bodybuilder, her frame is giving out.
She has three bulging lumbar discs and ruptured tendons in her biceps. She said she is in constant pain.
“I got incredibly strong, but these are not side effects young women would want. Plus, the voice — my voice lowered by three octaves,” she said.
“(Female steroid abusers) get their desired effect physically, but it ain’t no free lunch. They have to pay the price,” said Dr. Bill Howard, the founder of Union Memorial’s Sports Medicine Center.
Over the years, Howard said he has seen anabolic steroids become an equal opportunity drug.
“It starts with relatively young women — high school and college age in their 20s and 30s,” he said. “It helps them to lose weight because muscle has a higher metabolic rate than fat, so the more fat you burn, the better you look.”
But the better you look, the sicker you can get, health officials said. Besides the visible side effects, women who abuse steroids also have an increased risk of heart and artery disease.
Howard said there’s another undesirable side effect.
“They’re just not very attractive. They’re very nice people, but they don’t look the way they should look at the age they ought to be,” Howard said.
A former Mr. Maryland, who anonymously spoke with WBAL, said he injected steroids for 12 years and saw women buying them illegally right alongside him. He said they’re very easy to get.
The day before WBAL interviewed Peggy, she said she had injected the popular underground steroid Masteron.
“It’s very insidious how you go on and on, and before you know it, you take more powerful drugs and the side effects are not what you want,” she said.
Did she want to look more feminine?
“I have gotten use to this neutral position — not quite a woman, but not quite a man, either,” she said.
There are both emotional and physical components of steroid addiction, health officials said. One of the most dangerous symptoms of withdrawal is depression.

Steroids keep Stallone healthy: dad say it all about Stallone and steroids
Posted Byi steroids
so he says steroids were to keep S. Stallone in good health and better recovered, I don’t see why not? he’s almost damn 60 years old. These are LEGAL prescriptions for steroids and human growth hormone, now leave the guy alone already.
Steroids keep Stallone healthy: dad
Sylvester Stallone’s dad has come out fighting in the Rocky star’s defence — claiming he was using prescription steroids to recover from physical “strain and work.”
“I mean, the guy is 60 years old,” Frank Stallone, 87, said. “There are a lot of aches and pains when you get to that age.”
Sly will be sentenced next week after pleading guilty to importing the banned muscle-building hormone Jintropin into Australia.
The hormones were found when his bags were searched as he flew into Sydney to hawk his latest Rocky sequel.
In addition to promoting muscle growth, Jintropin is believed to help slow down the aging process.
Stallone Snr, who lives in Florida, added: “My son exercises a lot, and he found this stuff keeps him healthy. I wouldn’t know, since I’ve never used any. But he has prescriptions for it. He didn’t know he couldn’t bring it to Australia.
“Of course, since he is a celebrity, they’re going to lay it on him.” He said his son was suffering from the strain of working on the set of Rambo 4 in Thailand.
Stallone faces a maximum fine of $22,000 in court.
Prosecution documents said Stallone had marked “no” on a customs declaration form that asked if he was bringing restricted substances into the country.
But an X-ray of bags belonging to his entourage uncovered the bottles of Jintropin, which is made by Chinese firm GeneScience pharmaceuticals.
“You have not been validly prescribed the goods by a medical practitioner for any medical condition suffered by you and for which the goods are recognised medical treatment,” Stallone was told in a customs document submitted to the court.
The vital ingredient in Jintropin is somatropin, which is advertised as reducing body fat, boosting muscle mass, improving sexual prowess and regenerating major organs.
