whizzinator drug testThe two people behind the ingenious device that can help you pass drug tests could be behind bars in the near future.

Gerald Wills and Robert Catalano, president and vice-president of online-based Puck Technology, entered their guilty pleas last Monday for conspiring to defraud the agency that carries out federal workplace drug testing programs.

Catalano and Wills’ sentencing is set in February next year and the defendants could face up to eight years in prison plus a $500,000 fine (some reports say the fine is $8000.)

Puck Technology is the manufacturer of the Original Whizzinator, which has been described as “a product intended to fraudulently defeat drug tests”. The Whizzinator kit contains dried urine, syringe heater packs, a false penis, and instruction manual. The heater packs are meant to keep the urine at body temperature and the false penis comes in five colors – brown, black, white, latino, and tan.

This product uses a very realistic-looking prosthetic penis and synthetic urine. The gadget works by mixing the dehydrated urine with water and then injecting the mixture into the bag. You can attach the bag to your leg or use the heat pack to achieve the right temperature. An undergarment resembling a jock strap is also provided to hold the prosthetic penis in place.

This device has caught the public’s attention when Onterrio Smith was detained at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in May 2005 for possessing one. Smith was a former running back for Minnesota Vikings.

Hollywood actor Tom Sizemore was another popular figure who got caught using the product while trying to evade detection of drug use.
