Progesterone supply improves brain injury outcomes

Researchers from the Emory University have suggested that offering progesterone to patients treated for traumatic brain injuries, shortly after the injury, can considerably reduce the risk of death and degree of disability.
The research was published in the Annals of Emergency Medicine.
It was disclosed by the study that progesterone treatment for brain injuries is safe and has been extensively studied on animals for more than 15 years.
