The players reportedly tested positive for Bumetanide that figures on the NFL’s list of banned substances.

Bumetanide is a diuretic that can mask the presence of anabolic steroids.

Steve Gregory suspended for four gamesSan Diego Chargers strong safety Steve Gregory has been handed over a suspension of four games after he was found violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Gregory said in a statement that he was completely shocked to know about the positive test from May during the off-season.

Gregory will miss a game at Oakland but will be eligible to rejoin the team for a contest against the Houston Texans.

Jamar Nesbit suspended for four gamesNew Orleans Saints guard Jamar Nesbit has been suspended for four games, without pay, after he was found violating the NFL policy on anabolic steroids and related substances.

The suspension begins immediately for Nesbit and he will be eligible to make a return to active roster of the Saints after a game against the Carolina Panthers.

The versatile baseball player has started 87 games in his career with the Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Saints.

Deuce McAllister not surprised by doping reportNew Orleans Saints running back Deuce McAllister recently said that he was not surprised to see his inclusion on a list of players who reportedly tested positive for a drug on the list of banned substances of the NFL.

McAllister also insisted that he tried to play by the rules in the wake of victory attained by the Saints over the San Diego Chargers at Wembley Stadium.

McAllister said that he and many others have been going through with this for a while and it is all for others to find out about it.

Three players reportedly tested positiveThree players are the latest to be named after testing positive for a drug that features on the list of banned substances by the NFL.

Multiple media reports identified the trio of defensive tackles and three players with the New Orleans Saints – running back Deuce McAllister and defensive ends Will Smith and Charles Grant – as testing positive for Bumetanide.

McAllister said that a counsel has been hired to do the job as per regulations of the NFL.
