How much did The Mitchell Report on Steroids cost USA taxpayers?

Posted Byi steroids

mitchell_steroid_reportThe Mitchell Report all about steroids, that fueled the latest waste of USA taxpayer dollars is still pushing the lies about steroids. Let’s see how much the Mitchell Report cost the USA taxpayers:

The Mitchell Report, which followed more than a year and a half of investigation and cost $60 million to produce

That’s right, 60,000,000 USD of USA taxpayer money was spent on a report to find out which baseball players have used steroids, now is it us or did we just hear something crazy! against the US citizens wills, congress is spending millions on a few hundred page report on steroids in baseball, forgetting the failing economy and war in Iraq. Let’s find something more important to do then steroids!

  Ken Shamrock and Steroids

Posted Byi steroids

ken-shamrock steroidsKen Shamrock is the best example of performance enhancing drugs such as anabolic steroids doing absolutely nothing. Ken Shamrock is probably the most obvious user of steroids, maybe after a few WWE guys! He has been so juiced up he didn’t even move much, and his latest MMA match has clearly shown that steroids in sports do NOT make you a better athlete. Training, talent and work ethic is what makes better athletes not anabolic steroids, and Ken Shamrock is the best example. He is one of the worst steroid users (and most obvious) in MMA and he has lost 7 out of 8 fights since 2002.

The truth remains that the best way to become the best in your athletic field is not by using steroids, but by training, hard work and a ton of talent.  A lot of guys in the sport like Anderson Silva are obviously not using any steroids or HGH, and look they are the best.  Don’t blame steroids for records, blame the hard work of the athlete!

  Steroin Nation Does it again

Posted Byi steroids

It seems the steroid nation “blog” has done it again, they put out more bullshit for everyone to see.  They claimed Kelvin Sampson was on anabolic steroids because he sent a lot of text messages to his girlfriend? please, let’s not be so idiotic.  Freedom of speech does breed a lot of idiots, and it seems many have caught on to the steroid hysteria to create bullshit.

A MAN who sent nearly 1,200 threatening text messages in two weeks to his former girlfriend avoided a jail sentence after the victim said she wanted to give their relationship another go.

In one of the barrage of messages, Tim Tomkinson, 36, of Whiteford Road, Kettering, told his former girlfriend he would put an axe in her head if she got together with any other men.

Let’s blame steroids for everything.  Kill your neighbor? oh, sorry I’m on steroids.  Rob a 7-11 to get some $ for your crack rock - SORRY! I’m on steroids.  Let’s not let steroid ignorance fuel these foolish stories.  The reality is that it is proven steroids alter your physical appearance; anabolic steroids are NOT psychotropic drugs, they do NOT alter your state of mind.  Many males are born with extremely high testosterone levels (naturally), are they going mad and killing people? with 100,000s of steroid users, you’d think at least 1 lie/misconception about steroids would be proven true.  Reality is, to date, not 1 person has died from taking steroids and not 1 person has performed a violent crime while taking anabolic steroids.  We’d say “any crime” but not that this BS in congress about steroids and baseball is going on, it’s hard to say what they’ll peg on the baseball guys.

  Steroid Nation latest lies

Posted Byi steroids

It seems the somewhat popular steroid nation blog has come out with more lies for people to read; or , maybe ludicrous facts would be the best way to look at it.  Let’s review the BULLSHIT.  The below is the reasons congress should persue Clemens as well as investigate anabolic steroids and HGH in the view of the outdated and ludicrous steroid nation and our response to it:

* Because the truth is an important ethical concept worth defending.  Perjury remains a serious issue.

iSteroids Answer: Perjury is a strong word.  One thing is using taxpayer dollars to investigate organized crime or corporate fraud, it’s total another level to use congress time and taxpayer money to see if Roger Clemens used steroids (who the F**** cares!).  Ask any taxpayer what they want: a) Better Economy b) fixed Iraq war c) fixed mortgage crises or d) to find out if Roger Clemens used steroids.  In case you forgot, the TAXPAYING citizens of the USA are the people who truly rule the country.

* Because steroid and PED use (like HGH) represents a hugely lucrative illegal industry for organized crime

iSteroids Answer:  Can you please point out one case where organized crime has dealt with anabolic steroids and HGH? the truth, as unfortunate as it may be, is that once the government gets rid of all the small 1 man operations who just sell anabolics to their friends in the gym, the supply WILL be taken over by other organizations.  So, in a sense, you’re right…the idiotic new laws against anabolic steroids WILL push the industry into more and more underground status, until there will be no way to control it.

* Because PED distribution supports a gazillion-dollar underground network that includes money-laundering and income-tax fraud

iSteroids Answer:  Let’s be fair here, your use of PED is throwing a lot of people off.  Why don’t you use the real words, Anabolic Steroids.  Since, if you did ANY research at all, you would know that Human Growth Hormone has 0 (zero) performance enhancing benefits, you would obviously be stuck talking about anabolic steroids.  So, can you show us the huge underground network of money laundering and income tax fraud?? ha.  Or why don’t we spend about 15 minutes talking about the failed drug war against cocaine, meth and marijuana.  Let’s discuss the 750,000 kids under 25 that are put in jail yearly for something as idiotic as having a few joints of weed.   Or let’s talk about the over $30,000,000,000 in cocaine money set to Columbia yearly by US citizens, and the BILLIONS sent to “fight” this drug war.  Why don’t you tell us  how much of the below money is spent on steroids.  We’ll make it easy for you, about 0.0002%, now let’s see where taxpayer dollars should really go!

In 2000, illegal narcotics sales in the United States were estimated by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) Drug Policy Information clearinghouse as being: $36 billion spent on cocaine, $11 billion on marijuana, $10 billion on heroin, $5.4 billion on methamphetamine and $2.4 billion on other illegal substances. In total, the overall spend in 2000 reached $160.7 billion – with Americans consuming approximately 260 metric tons of cocaine and 13.3 metric tons of heroin.

* Because the PED (steroids and other drugs) distribution networks also distribute other illegal drugs including narcotics and stimulants

iSteroids Answer:  Do you have some proof of this, well, we cut your bullshit and did some research for you:

Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition did this study, not the Steroid Nation Journal of bullshit:

….a new study suggests that it’s not elite athletes who are the big users-abusers of the strength-boosting drugs - it’s young males who just want to look good.

In fact, the U.S. study found that the typical user of steroids for non-medicinal purposes is a 30-year-old, well-educated male earning an above-average income in a white-collar job. Users report not only wanting a buff body, but also appear highly health-conscious.

Most did not use steroids during adolescence and were not motivated to start by the desire for better performance in sports, say the authors, whose study is published online Thursday in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition.

“The top three motivators that we seemed to see in this sample were to increase their muscle mass, to increase their strength and to increase their physical attractiveness,” said Jack Darkes, associate director of the Alcohol and Substance Use Research Institute at the University of South Florida.

Other key reasons for taking anabolic-androgenic steroids (AAS), although less highly ranked, included boosting confidence, trimming body fat, bolstering mood and attracting sexual partners.

The study included almost 2,000 American males who took part in an online survey. (A small percentage of females also took part but were not included in this data.)

* Because these drugs are also obtained from AIDs patients, thus diverting legally prescribed pharmaceutics to illegal activities

iSteroids Answer:  Let’s see, isn’t it interesting you bring this up.  Since the drug companies themselves market their own HGH as something else then it’s intended for.  And, isn’t it interesting how big pharma is pushing to legalize HGH for regular use with a prescription so they can take over the same “black market” you gripe about.  Thus, they will jack up the prices 100x and let the taxpayers cover the insurance bills of the poor saps who could get the same HGH before for 100x less cost!  Don’t worry, you’ll get that on the way to cash your beat up paycheck.

With the supply-side problem solved, drug companies ramped up production. But in the U.S. (unlike in Canada and most other parts of the world), off-label use of HGH is actually illegal, and pushing it has gotten some firms into expensive trouble. In 1999, San Francisco-based Genentech Inc. was fined US$50 million for illegally marketing its HGH brand, Protropin. Then, last October, Serono S.A., a Swiss-based corporation, was fined US$704 million for illegally promoting Serostim - an HGH used to treat AIDS patients with profound weight loss. Serono pleaded guilty to offering U.S. physicians an all-expenses-paid trip to Cannes. In exchange, the doctors would agree to write as many as 30 new prescriptions for Serostim, worth US$630,000.  Source: Maclean’s February 27, 2006 | Author DANYLO HAWALESHKA

* Because the use of these drugs amounts to practicing medicine without a license

iSteroids Answer:   And the use of aspirin and tylenol, which kills thousands of people per year is not?

Tylenol overdose and Death (see below), but, just FYI for the ignorant, you CANNOT overdose on steroids, it’s just impossible:

Overdose of acetaminophen is serious and can be fatal from liver toxicity, killing about 1% of those who seek treatment due to the delayed effects. In heavy drinkers, regular use of acetaminophen increases liver damage from alcohol.

Acetaminophen toxicity is the most common cause of acute liver failure in the United States, accounting for 39 percent of cases. It occurs both after attempted suicide by acetaminophen overdose and after unintentional overdoses.  In some susceptible people, even small doses, combined with small amounts of alcohol, have caused irreversable liver failure.

Acetaminophen can also cause kidney failure in vulnerable patients, including alcoholics, elderly men and those with existing liver or kidney damage

* Because the use of illegal PEDs defrauds the paying public who are deceived by the drug-cheats; this constitutes fraud

iSteroids Answer:  Haha, what? where on the baseball ticket does it say that all baseball players are steroid free or your money back, what a joke!
    * Because many MLB games are played in public financed venues, that raises issues of misuse of public funds when the games are not fairly played

iSteroids Answer:  What? and football is played in a magical fairly land?not stadiums huh?
    * Because that the trafficking of PEDs though players that use, trainers that distribute, or street-dealers that sell, represents illegal drug activity, certainly answerable to the federal government and the FBI

iSteroids Answer:   There are no street dealer for anabolic steroids, stop lying to yourself.  Let’s see some research before you put out bullshit.
    * Because illegal PEDs likely made their way through international checkpoints (like Canada) with players breaking international regulations (see Juan Gonzalez’s story)

iSteroids Answer: Steroids are legal in many countries.  Only USA and Australia have idiotic anti-steroid law that are so bad.  UK, for example, doesn’t.  In the UK we enjoy a LOT more freedoms!
    * Because that it is clear youngsters under 18 use PEDs (steroids and others) based somewhat on their idol’s use of PEDs

iSteroids Answer:  Are you kidding? youngsters under 18 emulating their baseball star by taking steroids? not you’re just delusional.  Who the hell watches baseball anymore anyhow?  why not talk about youngsters listening to gangster rap!  And, fyi, statistically, Alcohol is the #1 drug used by teens under 18, followed by marijuana, followed by ecstacy and cocaine, NOT steroids.  Too bad you didn’t do any research.
    * Because these illegal drugs produce serious medical side-effects, which in themselves are cause for concern, but also represent a major public health problem

iSteroids Answer:  Really? refer to the above post about tylenol / HGH (1/2 page up)
    * Because there is evidence the PEDs are addictive

iSteroids Answer:   Can you enlighten us with this evidence? or are you talking out of your ass again?
    * Because illegal anabolic steroids have been shown to be involved in felonious crimes beyond drug trafficking — crimes like murder, assault, and rape.

iSteroids Answer:    Again, can you show this evidence, can you show 1 case of rape based on steroid use?  Anabolic steroids are NOT psychotropic drugs , you even yourself call them performance enhancing you idiot.  Performance enhancing has nothing to do with psychotropic.  In case you can’t use google, psychotropic drugs are cocaine / LSD / Meth and so on, NOT anabolic steroids.  Anabolic steroids build muscle and have NOTHING to do with your psychological state.
    * Because the US Olympic team, which is obviously a visible ambassador to the world, appears to be violated by the drug-cheats and the PED dealers

iSteroids Answer:  Oh, you mean the other olympic teams don’t use steroids? just the US olympic team? please get over your bullshit.
