Use of steroids gaining popularity among teenaged girlsAccording to results of a national survey published in the June issue of Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, use of steroids by teenaged girls is not just limited to competitive athletics.

It was disclosed that the use is linked with a cluster of other health-endangering behaviors such as diet pills and smoking.

The results were made after assessments made by Diane L. Elliot, M.D., of the Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, and colleagues evaluated use of anabolic steroids among teen girls from a nationally representative sample of U.S. high schools.
