5-HTP or 5-hydroxytryptophan is an amino acid that is produced by the human body from L-tryptophan (LT), which is found in dietary products and is an essential amino acid. It has a unique ability to enhance the production of serotonin.

Its botanical source is Griffonia Simplicifolia and the extract solvent is a combination of water and ethanol. It has an appearance of white to gray white powder and has a shelf life of 24 months.
